Architectural Design At Spencer Pughe Associates our goal is to provide architectural design services that deliver our client’s requirements. We will work closely with your to develop a design brief that you are happy for us to use as the basis of developing concept sketch designs. Following acceptance of the concept design, we will develop this further into more detailed design suitable for the purpose in hand. Our aim is to guide you through the design stage to achieve your aspirations whilst always maintaining regulatory compliance and working within your budget. Recent projects include bespoke individual houses, chapel conversions, various residential conversions and alterations and community building projects along with commercial offices. Where necessary we advise on the appointment of other specialist construction professionals such as Structural Engineers and Building Services Engineers to ensure that the whole design achieves the aims of the design brief. All our design work is prepared using CAD and where appropriate 3D modelling software. For ease of communication with you all our design work can be sent via email. Planning Our approach to preparing a planning application follows the various stages detailed below.
Building Regulations Building Regulations affect both residential and commercial property. They govern and guide the technical aspect of how buildings are constructed, regardless of whether Planning Permission is required. We can produce all the necessary drawings, plans, details, specifications and structural calculations that may be required for a Full Plans Submission or deal with the matter as a Building Notice where appropriate. Contravention of the Regulations can result in significant penalties so it’s important to ensure that works are properly specified and supervised. We can offer advice on the operation of the Regulations and how to comply with them, liaise with the Local Authority on your behalf and apply for and gain Building Regulation Approval. |
